About me
I've always been drawn to the idea that we’re only different people when we’re together. That the old man on the train and I return home to the same feelings, the same thoughts.
Unfortunately, there isn’t just one human truth.
Fortunately, there are many.
I once believed storytelling was about finding the right words, but it's actually about finding the right story.
To me, being a writer isn’t about rattling off synonyms at lightning speed. It’s about grasping one of these human truths and illustrating it.
Holding so many forms of authenticity can be overwhelming, but it's also liberating. Storytelling allows us to step back from reality and realize that we assign meaning to things–it's not the other way around.
Anyone can string together some words. What matters is the meaning you infuse into them.
